  2. What are The Druggist's bio-identical products?

  3. Compounded bio-identical hormone replacement (BIHRT).

  4. What is BIHRT?

  5. During mankind’s creation we were provided with a highly complex and yet very simple symbiosis of nature’s molecules, such as: estrogen, (Estrone, Estradiol, Estriol), progesterone, testosterone, cortisol, DHEA, aldosterone, thyroid and melatonin among many other intricate systems.

So to put it simply, using bio-identical hormone replacements is merely copying nature.

The Druggist is a compounding pharmacy who will create that compound for you.

  6. Why would I want to introduce BIHRT into my body since I already have some?

  7.
Nature's molecules reach their peak after puberty and around age 20-35. Their production continually declines from then on.

This is exhibited by premenauposal/menauposal symptoms such as
    • Hot flashes,
    • Less ability to sleep and maintain sleep,
    • Headaches related to low progesterone levels,
    • Vaginal dryness,
    • Painful intercourse,
    • Weight gain,
    • and many more symptoms.

  8. How do I apply BIHRT?

  9.
The closest to natural way has been through transmucosal, such as the inner side of the labia/vagina, or transdermal (across the dermis or across the skin).

Bio-identical hormone therapy is not new.

Physiological data as well as clinical outcomes demonstrating the association of lower risk of breast cancer and cardiovascular disease among others using bio-identical hormones is out there.

As individuals, we are faced daily with many choices.

As a pharmacist I believe that there is a way for one to feel well and be well on a daily basis.

Therefore, if I am able to use compounds that are closest to nature’s hormone replacement then it is a win-win relationship.

The estrogen we use at The Druggist are derived from soy, while the progesterone and testosterone are derived from yams.

These natural molecules are essential for a healthy body. A deficiency of these may be manifested as hot flashes, etc.

These symptoms are the body’s equivalent of the warning lights on the dashboard of your car…something is not right and requires your attention.

Don’t wait for these “lights” to turn “on.” Have your physician translate your symptoms when they occur.

Estrogens have a function and are a necessity to our body.

Upon breaking down, estrogens create metabolites. Some of these metabolites have a protective function that are good for us, but some are carcinogenics, which is disastrous.

All of these natural molecules create by-products necessary for the chain reactions our body needs.

A physician during an office visit will conduct a series of tests to enable him or her to adjust your hormonal needs.

Like a radio transmitter, some tweaking here and there will have to occur.

Our duties as pharmacist and technician will be to create a specific compound, on demand, just for you.

You need a customized compound, and that’s what we deliver.
